Boating on the Lost River
Boating on the wide waters of Lost River Plantation brings your family endless possibilities for fun and adventure.
The Lost River is a tributary of the St Lucie River, which leads
to the Indian River and the Intracoastal Waterway. Just hop
aboard your vessel and in minutes you're cruising the Atlantic,
fishing in the nearby Gulf stream for Mahai Mahai, Wahoo,
Sailfish, or Snapper or any other number of fabulous game fish.
Saunter up dockside to enjoy one of the fine dining cafes and
restaurants in Historic Downtown Stuart.
Delicious Blue Claw Crabs are at your backyard dock, in your
crab trap when you come home. And there are always fish tales
to tell about the Tarpon and the Snook who got away! while
you fish right behind your house on your private dock or in the
Marina Basin, an old Tarpon hole, next our community clubhouse
and exercise room.
For a day trip, you might want to travel with your boat through the
locks across Lake Okeechobee to the Gulf of Mexico, a decidedly
unique adventure.
For special summer fun and adventure, lets plan another Lost River
trip to the Bahamas! Yes, that's right, ' it's more fun in the Bahamas".
Only 55 miles directly east of the St Lucie Inlet, it is a safe and easy
run to go with several boats together. We can arrange accommodations
for boat dockage for sleep aboard and/or for motel accommodations, and it is
more reasonably priced than a trip to the Keys! Diving, fishing and
snorkeling (and shopping!) is fabulous; the resorts are layback to
glamorous with duty free shopping & casinos to flea markets.
See the photo gallery for past trip photos.

Where Past and Present Merge So Beautifully.
A premium location, minutes to I 95 and Historic Downtown Stuart,
offers the convenience of easy travel, great shopping, art and theatre.
And yet, despite the convenient location, the feeling here is very much
'Old Florida'. It's a throwback to days when neighbors were actually
neighborly. When kids grew up with the water it is in their blood.
Here all the residents moving into this new 100% boating community,
have a common interest, i.e. boating, fishing and fun on the water; and
because they are each from somewhere else, they are reaching out to
neighbors, making new friends and creating a community and a lifestyle
that has something for everyone.
And now it's the perfect place for you to feel like a kid again and live
your Florida Dream Come True.

Where Great Memories Reside.
Times change. But that doesn't mean the values of the past are forgotten.
In fact, here in Lost River Plantation, they're very much alive and well. Here
is the Florida where kids grow up surrounded by nature, extraordinary
for its unspoiled beauty.
Legend has it that in 1951 the timeless classic The African Queen" was
filmed right here on the Lost River. They said it was the perfect unspoiled setting.
What is most amazing is that the river has remained so pristine that a sequel
could be filmed here today.
